Replacement Program Details

This program is designed to help companies recoup the cost of early investments made into technology, which may not be helping them achieve their health and safety goals.

Eligible companies will be offered an incentive to upgrade uncleared devices to welloStationX, the only automated, FDA-cleared no-touch clinical thermometer station on the market.

Why is Wello doing this?

Wello's mission is to end the spread of contagious illness and promote a healthy work environment. To do this, companies need tools and technology that not only make people feel safe, but also decrease the risk of contagious illness spread in facilities.

In 2018, after years of research and development, the FDA cleared Wello to market the welloStationX as a clinical electronic thermometer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations bought devices that look like the welloStationX but do not provide the same level of accuracy. Some have been shown to use software to avoid alerts and some have been warned by the FDA to stop misleading advertising claims. Wello wants to put as many accurate devices out there as possible, so we're offering incentives to replace these unauthorized devices.

Which devices are considered unauthorized?

Within this program, Wello considers devices which are marketed as thermometers but are not cleared as Class II medical devices in the FLL category as "unauthorized".

What is the risk of using a non-FDA-cleared device?

These devices provide a false sense of security to folks who use them. To meet the goal of minimizing risk of infection spread in a facility, an accurate device must be used.

How can I get started?

Fill out the form above with your current program details and a Wello team member will get back to you with the incentive details, depending on the devices currently employed at your facility.
